This is what seems to be waiting for us, the city of Praia, capital of Cape Verde (Cabo Verde). This city is in the island of Santiago (one of the 10 islands that constitute the country.) This is the Praia Cape Verde Mission headquarters (the office is close to the pier on the left side.)

As of today, January 4th 2016, we are still waiting for the Missionary Department to give us the new date to enter the Provo MTC (we actually were supposed to check in today) but things changed because of Leonor's new medicine. We are praying we will be on our way soon!!! In the meantime we are still "enjoying" the snow which this winter has brought a lot more than in the last 2 or 3 years, spending time with the Alvarez and Schultz grandchildren.

About a week after I retired Leonor were able to visit the Smiths in Ohio last October and got to visit some Church history sites with the Smith grandchildren

While we waited for the Missionary Department to give us a new date to leave for Cape Verde, I made a quick trip to Mexico City and Orizaba.
